Buffalo Indie Market FAQS How do I apply? there is an online application which will outline all event details, fees and event dates. Is there advertising for each event? we will promote the event and the participating vendors through press, flyers, postcards, a monthly newsletter and our website. Is each indie market juried? each event must be juried to ensure each indie artist has a fair chance of selling their work. If you do not make an event one month you will be given the option to participate in the next event. Do I have to collect taxes? all vendors are responsible for applicable taxes. Are there restrooms? yes there are restrooms right off of the bar area on the second floor as well as bathrooms on the first floor. Can artists outside the Buffalo area participate? all indie artists are welcome to participate in our monthly market. Is the event handi-cap accessable? yes, there is an elevator that can be used by the participating artists and the market guests. Is the application fee refundable? all application fees are refundable up until 1 week before the event. Must I bring my own table? we will provide a table, 2 chairs and linens. Can I advertise with BIM? all indie artists and local businesses are encouraged to advertise in our monthly publication. We also offer discounted advertising and sponsorships for artists. Send an email to us for more information. How can I contribute? all participants will be given some flyers and postcards to help promote each event. How do I get featured? the earlier you apply for an event the more likely you are to be featured. It is on a first come first serve basis for each category. We try to feature a variety of work each month. Do I have to sign up for all events? no, you may sign up for as many or few events as you like. How many vendors will be at each event? we hope to show 20 to 25 independent artists at each event to give our Buffalo consumers a nice mix and give everyone the option to sell their work every month. Can I split a table? yes, specify on your application who you will be splitting a table with. Both artists must submit an application. If you wish to split but do not know anyone just send us an emial and we will try to find someone you can share with. Can I sell handmade work other than my own? in order to sell another artists work the artist who will not be present at the market must fill out and sign consent form. You may contact us for more information. Is there electricity? yes, all participants will have access to electrical outlets. Is there parking? yes there is a lot behind Pearl Street Grill for all vendors. All visitors to the market may park in the lot across the street or on the street. When do I set up? 1 hour prior to event.
